Venticinque disegni , realizzati con carboncino, matita e tempera bianca, che raffigurano alcune delle sculture e bassorilievi, sia in pietra che in bronzo della città di Venezia.
Sulla scia di John Ruskin , studioso e pittore inglese dell’ottocento, testimone dell’arte e dell’architettura veneziana di quel periodo. Mi sono sempre interessata al disegno e allo studio dei particolari architettonici della città lagunare , molti dei quali romanico – bizantini.
Come lo stesso Ruskin ha insegnato, in questo campo la fotografia è stata un valido aiuto per conservare questi dettagli nel tempo.
Perciò con supporto fotografico si sono valorizzati opere d’arte e dettagli che con il disegno prendono vita.
Le mie “creature di Pietra”sono un inno alla grafica e alle tecniche artistiche tradizionali.

Stone creatures
Twentyfive drawings made with charcoal, pencil and white tempera that represent some of the sculptures and bas-relieve, either in stone or bronze, scattered throughout the city of Venice. All this following John Ruskin path, the english scholar and painter, who, in the eighteen century was a witness of the venitian art and architecture. I have always had a great interest in drawing and studying the architectural details of the lagoon city, many of which belong to the romanesque or byzantine culture. As Ruskin himself taught us, in this particular field, photography has been of great help to preserve these details throughout time.
That’s why, thanks to the contribution of photography, it has been possible to appreciate works of art and details which are then revitalized by the art of drawing
My “Stone creatures” are an hymn to graphics and to the traditional techniques.
An enchanting journey back to the origin of the History of Art in Venice.
